Winner of the 2013 Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year handed out by AJAC, the current-generation Hyundai Santa Fe is worlds apart from the first Santa Fe Hyundai introduced to the market more than 15 years ago. For consumers, that is a very good thing, no doubt about it.

Oh, and there are also a ton of features and versions to choose from. We have already covered the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe in another review, so here we are going to have a look at the numbers and how they allow the new Santa Fe to truly shine.
A quick look at the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe by the numbers
2 – Versions
The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe comes in two versions, the Sport and the XL model. The main difference between each version is the number of available seats for your passengers. Indeed, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport features room for five passengers while the 2017 Hyundai Fe XL has room for 7.
3 – Engines
There are three engines available in the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe XL. The first is a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 185 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The second engine is a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the top-of-the-line engine is a 3.3-liter V6 that offers 290 horsepower and 252 pound-feet of torque.
7 – Passengers
As mentioned previously, the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe offers a seven-passenger version with the Hyundai Santa Fe XL. The latter features plenty of interior space, both in front, in the middle row and even in the third-row. That means there is space for the entire family in the 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe.
12 – Trims
The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe features 12 trims, seven in the Sport version, and five in the XL versions. That means that there are plenty of versions to choose that offer varying levels of equipment and features, and you are sure to find the Hyundai Santa Fe that perfectly fits your needs.
1,003 – Liters
That is the amount of cargo space you get with all seats place in the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Lower the rear seats, and 2,025 liters when you lower the rear seats. In the XL model, you still get almost 400 liters of total cargo space with all three rows in place.
